The QUESTION
Hello and thank you for creating this course. Just want to make sure I am doing this right, the keywords im looking at are highly competitive and after doing calculations, looks like I would lose money no matter what! Take a look
Please tell me if I am messing something up, I have watched this video several times.
The ANSWER
Hi Matt, thank you, no, you are not losing something, you did the calculations right, but you don’t have the exact number of searches for each keyword.
As you don’t have a campaign running google will give you only an estimate of the searches, not the exact number.
It would help you if you had the exact number. In what region you are?
This is true anyway; today, some searches have extremely high competition.
You need to dig down to the rest of the keywords to find others with the smaller competition.
You also need to optimize your landing page to try to get more conversions (not just 2%). Your market is a niche, so I think you should have a better conversion than 2%.
Try also to start from specific locations that have less competition or that you can serve them better — no need to advertise in the whole country.
The difference between low and high page bid is significant, that means that some big players are spending a lot of money. So maybe they also make money, and that’s why they bid so aggressively. So there is an opportunity here.
Try to keep your clients happy to make them call you again without Google Search. Do some loyalty marketing as the new customer is expensive enough in your market.
The competition is there but what options do you have? Escape or start a battle.
